LinkHMS has launched a new patient portal to view care information and request appointments online. The portal extends the connection between clinics and their patients beyond the clinic visit. Instead of contacting staff for routine information, patients can access key details on their phones, while clinics remain in control of patient records, appointment management, and sharing necessary clinical information.
Mobile-first access without another app
The patient portal is designed for direct use from a patient’s phone. There is no separate app to install, so patients can access their information wherever they are without adding another download or account setup process.
For clinics, this creates a new self-service channel for common patient needs. Patients can check appointment statuses, review their available care information, access released test results, and request appointments without relying on staff for every routine update.
One place for patients to access their care information
Patients don’t need to ask your front desk what they can already see for themselves. Once portal access is set up, patients can check prescriptions, conditions, appointments, and test results.
The portal is read-only, so patients can view their information without changing clinical records. Names, contact details, clinical details, all of that still runs through your clinic the same way it always has.
Patients receiving care from more than one clinic using LinkHMS can use the same account to access their information. Records remain separated and clearly identified by clinic, making it easy to see where each piece of information comes from.
Simple access without separate patient registration
Clinics do not need to create separate portal accounts or send invitations to individual patients.
Patient portal access is connected to the existing LinkHMS email verification process. Once a clinic verifies a patient’s email address, the patient can use that email to access the portal.
Login is also designed to stay simple. Patients enter their email address and receive a one-time code by email, with no password to create or remember. Each login session remains active for 24 hours.
This means clinics can introduce portal access as part of their existing patient workflow without adding a separate account setup process.
Let patients request appointments online
The portal also introduces a self-service appointment request process. Patients can select their clinic, specialty, doctor, service, and an available day and time. Open slots reflect the same doctor and service availability that your clinic already manages in LinkHMS.
The request then appears in the clinic schedule as an unconfirmed online appointment, where staff can review it and manage it through their regular scheduling workflow. Clinics remain in control of what patients can request online. Staff can confirm or cancel the appointment, while patients can follow the latest status directly from the portal.
A more connected experience for clinics and patients
The launch of the patient portal expands LinkHMS beyond managing workflows inside the clinic by giving patients a direct connection to the information and services their clinic makes available.
Clinics maintain control over patients’ clinical records, online booking availability, appointment requests, and test result sharing, while patients gain a simpler way to stay informed and interact with their care.
With the new portal, LinkHMS brings clinic management and patient self-service closer together, helping healthcare teams reduce routine administrative requests while giving patients easier access to the information they need.
