LinkHMS includes functionality for Laboratory to provide fast test results and more accurate diagnoses in your clinic.
We set up a separate user role for Lab Workers to receive test requests from Doctors, conduct analysis tests, and update received results for further usage.
Effective treatment plans depend on accurate diagnostic tests; therefore, we allow Doctors to prescribe analyses based on the patient’s conditions and symptoms right during the ongoing visit.
The requested tests are automatically sent to the laboratory, so the Lab Worker can immediately get to work. The lab tab contains the list of assigned tests with corresponding types, patient info, current statuses, and prescribing doctors.
Lab Workers often use filters to prioritize tasks for timely completion.
Besides performing the test, they keep a record of clearly documented medical results. The LinkHMS functionality helps Lab Workers structure results, add notes, and document lab reports.
The Lab Worker is required to update the current status for efficient progress tracking and inform the rest of the involved staff members. After the test is completed, it’s important to set the status to Done to instantly notify Doctors.
The lab analyses automatically appear for review by Doctors, who can continue to make the diagnoses based on the lab results.
With the featured print button, Doctors or Nurses can easily print the test results and share them with patients if required.
When the prescribed analysis is conducted within your clinic, it can be automatically added to the visit invoice or generate separate invoices for every specific lab test.
Once your clinic provides its own lab testing services, they are listed as services with set prices and automatically added to the invoices.
Thanks for reading this guide on the Lab Worker’s role in your clinic workflow. LinkHMS embraces all the required functionality to manage laboratory operations and support smooth collaboration between involved medical specialists.
We’ve also prepared guides on other user roles within the LinkHMS system.
